DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

The technologies incorporated in Revolution Very Light Rail (RVLR) ensure a cost-effective, sustainable transport system. It employs a balanced selection of modular systems including lightweight technologies where appropriate. 

The bodyshell utilises a modular design approach with flush-bonded glazing and powered plug sliding doors to ensure ease of access.

Passenger comfort is a vital element of all vehicles designed by TDI, and in RVLR, particular consideration has been given to this key aspect. Its spacious interior is aimed at attracting passengers and encouraging modal shift. Features include air conditioning, ergonomically designed seating and charging sockets and an Ethernet Wi-Fi backbone. Internal layout and aesthetics can be readily adapted to suit specific customer needs, including the ratio of seated to standing accommodation, and provision of tables and luggage storage.
